VA Healthcare Sign-Up Days

Veterans can register for their VA HealthCare ID (medical benefits) at the Westchester County Veterans Service Agency during "VA HealthCare ID Sign-Up Days" held on the third Thursday of every month at 112 East Post Rd., 4th fl., Room 442, White Plains.

Veterans who already use the VA Healthcare System and have older versions of the VA Healthcare Identification Card are required to update their card. The Department of Veterans Affairs has mandated this update.

The new cards eliminate sensitive identifying information such as Social Security number and date of birth that are considered an unwarranted risk for veterans receiving health care services. Veterans who have never used the VA for medical benefits must bring a copy of their (DD-214) separation papers.

If you need a copy of your DD-214 and/or would like to attend a registration day, call the Veterans Service Agency to confirm that morning at (914) 995-2145.
