Free Westchester County Parks Pass for Veterans
Westchester County provides a free Parks Pass for honorably discharged U.S. military veterans who live in the county. The pass gives access to county parks and discounts on user and parking fees at pools, beaches, golf courses and recreation facilities.
- Honorably discharged U.S. military veterans
- Must be a resident of Westchester County
Proof of residency and veteran status is required.
- Access to county parks, pools, beaches, golf courses, and other recreation facilities.
- Discounted admission and parking fees where applicable
- Valid for three years; renewal required
The Parks Pass is required to take advantage of golf benefits at Westchester County courses. With the pass, veterans can:
- Receive discounted greens fees at county-owned golf courses
- Use golf facilities at preferred resident rates
County-owned golf courses include:
- Dunwoodie (Yonkers)
- Maple Moor (White Plains)
- Mohansic (Yorktown Heights)
- Saxon Woods (Scarsdale)
- Sprain Lake (Yonkers)
- Hudson Hills (Ossining)

- Proof of Westchester County residency (e.g., driver license, utility bill, lease, or tax bill)
- Proof of veteran status (e.g., DD-214, VA ID card, or NYS driver license with “Veteran” designation)
- A Parks Pass is required or preferred for many seasonal activities.
- Some facilities may accept proof of county residency for daily entry, but the Parks Pass provides better pricing and convenience.
